Guido

• Definition: A slang term sometimes used in the Northeastern US to describe a stereotypical, often loud or aggressive, Italian-American male, typically associated with a specific, flashy style.

• Misconception: In Mexico, this is not a recognized term, and it is entirely different from güero (a light-skinned/blond person).

• Gringo describes a foreigner (usually American).

MEXICAN DESCENT SLANG 

Common slang terms for people of Mexican descent include Chicano/Chicana (Mexican American), Chilango/Chilanga (specifically from Mexico City), and Ese (used as a casual term for a man, similar to "dude"). Other terms used in regional contexts or street culture include Cholo/Chola and Vato (guy/dude).
